Interim Executive Leadership

INTERIM AND CONTRACT EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

For organisations that need proven senior leadership capacity for a defined period.

A Leadership Gap at the Senior Level Does Not Wait

That exposure is immediate, and it compounds every week it goes unaddressed, decisions that need to be made aren’t being made, teams fill the vacuum themselves, and stakeholders start asking questions while the board watches. The longer the gap continues, the more the cost accumulates in ways that don’t appear on a single line of the budget but are felt across the organisation.

Permanent recruitment is the right answer for the long term. It’s also a six month answer at minimum, and the pressure to fill the gap quickly is one of the most reliable conditions for making the wrong hire. A wrong hire at this level costs significantly more than the vacancy it was meant to solve.

Sometimes the gap isn’t a vacancy. Your organisation has leaders but none with the expertise the current moment requires, and the internal team is capable but not equipped for this particular challenge.

The Situations This Is Designed For

Scaling Growth has outpaced your leadership infrastructure. You need proven senior capacity to lead the next phase without the overhead or commitment of a permanent hire before the growth is fully established.

Crisis or Turnaround The organisation is under real pressure, and it needs someone who can come in, stabilise, and lead through the recovery without the politics or history that internal leaders inevitably carry in those moments.

Board Has Lost Confidence Board Has Lost Confidence. A performance or trust issue at the senior level requires neutral leadership to provide stability and maintain momentum while the situation resolves.

Merger or Acquisition Your organisations are coming together and need experienced senior leadership to navigate the integration without the political weight of either side.

 How this works

I step into your organisation, take on the responsibilities of the role, lead the relevant function or initiative, and am accountable for outcomes in the same way any senior executive would be. This isn’t advisory from the outside. It’s leadership from the inside, with full accountability for what happens.

I bring the precision to understand a new organisational context quickly, build credibility from the outset, and lead effectively without the extended runway that permanent appointments typically require.

Why Work With Me

Stepping into an organisation and exercising real authority from day one isn’t unfamiliar territory to me. I’ve done it throughout my career, as CEO, VP of Innovations, and President of an international organisation operating across four continents.

What I bring beyond the roles themselves is the ability to read an organisation quickly, its politics, its unspoken tensions, the actual dynamics beneath the org chart, and lead through that with precision rather than spending months learning it the slow way. Leadership teams tend to test someone new, consciously or not, and I know what they’re looking for in those first weeks because I’ve been the person walking into rooms where trust hadn’t been earned yet and had to earn it fast.

I don’t take on interim or contract roles I don’t believe I can deliver real results in. Every engagement I step into, I step into fully.

Who this is for

Organisations Ready to Address the Gap Directly

  • Organisations that have identified a specific leadership gap and understand that leaving it unaddressed is more expensive than resolving it.

  • Boards and leadership teams that need external senior capacity with immediate credibility, without the timeline or risk of a permanent appointment made under pressure.

  • Organisations navigating a transition, a crisis, a merger, or a scaling phase where the internal leadership capability exists but the specific expertise this moment requires doesn’t.

Every engagement begins with a conversation about your organisation, the context, and what the role  requires. I only take on roles where I’m confident I can deliver meaningful results for the duration.

 Investment and Engagement

Interim and contract engagements are structured around the scope, duration, and demands of the role. As a guide, engagements run for a minimum of three months. Investment is confirmed through conversation once your organisational context, role requirements, and duration have been established.

I review every enquiry  and respond within two to three business days. If there’s a mutual fit we schedule a focused conversation to discuss the scope, structure, and terms of the engagement.

The longer a senior leadership gap remains open, the more it costs. This is where that conversation begins.
