Executive Leadership Advisor | Keynote Speaker
My path to this work has been anything but conventional, and that is precisely what makes it work.
I have held senior leadership positions across finance, media, ministry, and international development, sat on global councils, and partnered with the UN and the UK government. As Founder and President of Her Story Matters, I built an organisation from the ground up that reached over 15 million people worldwide. I have led at the level of CEO, VP of Innovations, and President, and I have led ministers globally within religious leadership structures, which is its own particular training in authority, politics, and the weight of decisions that affect entire communities.
That range of contexts, corporate boardrooms, international development, media, and religious institutions, taught me something different about how leadership works beneath the title in each of them. What became clear across all of them is that the presenting challenge in any organisation is rarely the real one. Beneath performance issues, decision bottlenecks, and cultural friction, there are patterns operating at the level of identity, authority, and the structures leaders carry long before they ever arrive in the role.
Behind the accolades there I have also spent years going deep into the psychological and somatic architecture beneath leadership and identity, shadow work, polyvagal theory, somatic coaching, and the internal patterns that shape how people lead under pressure. That work sits alongside the executive experience, and together they are what let me see what others miss.
The Work
I work with organisations whose leadership isn’t yet operating at the level the business requires. The presenting challenge is rarely what it appears to be. Beneath the performance issues, the decision bottlenecks, and the cultural friction, there are patterns operating at the level of identity, authority, and the structures leaders carry long before they arrive in the role. My work goes to that level, to address and shift what is driving the outcomes the organisation is experiencing.
What I bring to this work is having held the roles my clients’ leaders are in myself. I have sat in the rooms, navigated the politics, made the decisions, and lived with the consequences. I know what the weight of leadership feels like from the inside, and I know precisely what shifts when the patterns beneath it are addressed.
Background And Training
My executive career spans over 15 years across corporate finance, media production, international development, ministry leadership, and strategic consultancy. As Founder and President of Her Story Matters, I led an international organisation that reached over 15 million people worldwide through partnerships with the UN, the UK Government, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and global financial institutions.
I have held roles as CEO, VP of Innovations, and President, navigating boardrooms, institutional politics, and high-stakes decisions across sectors and continents, and I have led ministers on a global scale within religious institutional structures, a form of leadership that carries its own distinct complexity and authority. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, and based in London, I bring a depth of cross-cultural leadership understanding to every engagement.
My advanced training includes Shadow Work, Masters NLP, Polyvagal Therapy, Somatic Coaching, and Breathwork. The combination of lived executive experience across an unusually wide range of sectors and deep psychological expertise is what allows this work to reach the level most conventional development does not.
